Flow has worked with the University of Auckland on a range of projects and we continue to provide ongoing traffic and transportation advice to the largest university in New Zealand. The large size of the University and its location in the heart of Auckland City means it is important to promote a wide range of travel options for students, to promote accessibility.
Flow has assisted the University of Auckland with:
• Undertaking a transportation planning and traffic engineering review of the proposed city campus master plan. This project involved assessing each of the Sectors of the University individually with respect to their existing operations and how these may be affected by the implementation of the master plan.
• Transportation Assessment reports, for inclusion with the resource consent documentation in support of a range of developments in the vicinity of the city and Newmarket campuses. These assessments have considered the redevelopment and refurbishment of various faculty buildings, the development of new student apartment complexes, the redevelopment of the B201 Building, and the Wynyard Street Landscape Project
• All transportation assessments undertaken by Flow for the University of Auckland considered the anticipated effects arising from each of the proposed developments including traffic generation, parking, access, site access, servicing, and pedestrian and cycle amenity.
