Flow has worked with the Waitemata District Health Board on a range of projects over many sites, and we continue to provide ongoing traffic and transportation advice to their biggest site, North Shore Hospital. These projects have included assisting in the transport elements of the masterplanning of the site as well as preparing traffic engineering assessments to support resource consent applications for new buildings and transport infrastructure on the site, with the latest being the Tōtara Haumaru building.
Flow has assisted the WDHB on the North Shore Hospital site with :
• Being part of the team delivering 2 rounds of masterplanning for the site. We undertook transport assessments within a framework of immediate feasibility, medium term direction and the longer term overall master plan objectives, ensuring consistency with the site’s long term master-plan development objectives.
• Transportation Assessment reports, for inclusion with the resource consent documentation in support of a range of developments on the site. These assessments have considered the redevelopment and refurbishment of various faculty buildings, and the development of new infrastructure including parking buildings, the Elective Surgery Unit, and Tōtara Haumaru building .
• All transportation assessments considered the anticipated effects arising from each of the proposed developments including traffic generation, parking, access, site access, servicing, and pedestrian and cycle provision. Many assessments included completing detailed traffic modelling and the design of roading, pedestrian and serving areas to provide a safe environment on the site
Flow continues to provide advice to the Waitemata District Health Board for ongoing master-planning of the site, and new developments on the site.
